Admission Procedure - Laurel Higher Secondary School

Laurel Higher Secondary School offers admission for students from Standard 1 to Standard 12, providing a structured academic journey for children aged 6 to 18 years. Please note that the school does not have Kindergarten (KG) classes, and admissions are strictly for Standard 1 and above. The admission process is designed to be transparent and simple, ensuring that students and parents can smoothly transition into the school community.

    Step-by-Step Admission Process

    Enquiry and Application Form:

  • Interested parents can collect the application form from the school office or download it from the school website.
  • The form must be filled out completely and submitted within the specified deadline along with required documents.
  • Eligibility Criteria:

  • Admissions are open to students who meet the age requirement for each respective class. For admission into Standard 1, students must be at least 6 years of age.
  • The previous school’s academic record is considered for higher standards.
  • Submission of Documents:

  • Birth certificate of the student (original and photocopy).
  • Transfer Certificate (TC) from the previous school (for admissions from Standard 2 and above).
  • Photocopy of the previous academic year’s report card.
  • Two recent passport-sized photographs of the student.
  • Address proof of parents/guardians (Aadhar card, Passport, etc.).
  • Community certificate (if applicable).
  • Entrance Test:

  • Students seeking admission from Standard 2 onwards may be required to take an entrance test, designed to assess their proficiency in English, Mathematics, and Science.
  • The test results, along with the previous academic performance, will determine the student’s eligibility.
  • Interaction/Interview:

  • After the entrance test, shortlisted students and parents may be called for an interaction with the principal and teachers. This is an informal meeting to understand the student’s interests and readiness for the academic program.
  • Admission Confirmation:
